Bishop Oral Ord Anthony Johnson, born on June 6th 1967 in Yallahs St Thomas, Jamaica, West Indies, the sixth child of Gwendowlyn and Felix Johnson, born under unique circumstances, and thereby destined for great purposes in God. He was brought up in the church from an early age and went through all the transitions of church growth spiritually and physically. From the age of ten he accepted the Lord as his personal savior. He was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost.
He began his journey at this tender age as a young singing, preaching evangelist. He is an accomplished student, who has majored in Pastoral and Leadership Studies from two notable Bible Colleges and The Church of Jesus Christ.
God has also favored Bishop Johnson with secular success as an Accomplished Business Man, Named Entrepreneur, Computer and Network Technician, Web Designer, Bible Teacher, College Instructor, Motivational Speaker, Business and Church Consultant, Human Advocate, Trailblazer, and Pastor to name a few.
He has served as pastor of the CJC in Mississauga and Hamilton Ontario since 1994 and 2000 respectively, (One Church in Two Locations) and being the Vice President for Home and Foreign Missions from the year 2000 - 2009 and now the President since 2009. He is the Presiding Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ in Canada; a movement of churches and ministries who are too radical and out of the box to be accepted by traditional mainstream organizations but have purposed to change this generation.
Under the covering of his spiritual father, The Late, Apostle, Dr. S.A. Cole, his unconditional dedication to the word and the work of the Lord, has earned him a mandate from God to be the voice of this generation. Bishop Johnson is leading the millennium church in the fullness of destiny. As a radical leader, he travels nationally and internationally proclaiming the word of truth with power and clarity.
Through workshops, seminars, conferences, convocations, and conventions, he has brought the word of life, sharing his studies with people of various backgrounds, races, creeds, and colors. He has led workshops, marriage seminars, youth ministries, and urban outreach crusades to share the love of Jesus Christ with all those who hear him.
A powerful revivalist and teacher, Bishop Johnson has taught at various Christian Education conferences. He delivers his messages with such power and charisma that has caused him to become one of the most sought after man of God in the world. Yet without a doubt, he credits his effectiveness in ministry to the power of the Holy Ghost. Relying totally on Him, he states, "I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me!"
As you get to know the man behind the power, you will find that he is fun, good-humored, relaxed, and just enjoys life to the fullest. He is kind, caring and available to listen and counsel with you at anytime. Residing in Mississauga, Canada, he is definitely God's voice for this generation.
God has given him a tremendous vision for The Church of Jesus Christ today. He believes, if never before God is calling us to unity and purpose. “Where there is no vision the people perish”, therefore he comes strongly to suggest that the purpose for which we exist is to gather God's people together in fellowship as one loving family, and help them to develop Christ-like maturity, and help them to understand their purpose and thereby equip them for ministry in the church and life mission in the world, so that the name of Jesus Christ will be magnified.
The Lord has anointed Bishop Johnson as an instrument to fulfill the nine-fold purposes of the fivefold ministry as laid out in the book of Ephesians 4. He believes that where there is great leadership, we can produce great saints. God has laid upon him and given him a passion for leaders, so over the last fourteen years he has dedicated his time to the teaching of authentic leadership. He is dedicated to the studying and preservation of the doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ, as he prepares this generation for tomorrow.
Bishop Johnson is married to his charming wife Evangelist Cirena and this union has produced three children of great artistic temperament, Damone, Peter, and Lisa-Marie.
